Nolwazi Shange Ngubeni, who is 39 years old, and was born on January 19, 1984, is a South African actress well known for portraying Precious on SABC1’s A Place Called Home season 2. She appeared in Mzali Wam as Sibongile and Scandal etv as Lady M, the wife of Jojo “Joseph” Farrow. She worked as a casting director and as a business developer for a global tech company.
She was born in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, in South Africa. And she was raised in Pinetown. then in the southern suburb of Cape Town, called Claremont, in the Western Cape, South Africa. She was born into a musical family. Her grandmother was a conductor of the church choir, her aunts and Her uncles sang in the choir, so it was very natural for her to become a performer.
She was very involved in sports, choir, drama, and performances, and was an athlete at Pinetown Senior Primary school. Nolwazi’s parents were fearful of her following arts studies, but her Her grandmother allayed her parents’ fears enough to accept her choice of study.

episode of its third season. She had her first lead role on a SABC 1 drama series called A Place Called Home as Precious from 2008 to 2009. In 2010 she starred as Dimpho Miya on SABC1’s Soul City season ten. She had a recurring role as Kwezi, the tough, down-to-earth next door neighbor who sees right through the boys’ nonsense, in the SABC1 sitcom Single Guys in 2013. The very same year of 2013 she was casted as Kgomotso on Zabalaza between May and November. She was later replaced by Nonhle Thema after she left the drama to pursue other projects.
She also played Minister Patience Mhlongo on The River in the second and third seasons. In 2021, she was cast in two roles. Her first role was in January, when she was cast alongside Masasa Mbangeni and Dumisani Mbebe as Sibongile Dlomo, a villain in the drama series Mzali Wam. This drama explores the human trafficking syndicate. Then, in September 2021, she joined Scandal’s new cast as Lady M, Jojo’s (Joseph Kubeka) wife, on Scandal etv.
She appeared on a film called Otelo Burning and on Intersections. She later obtained the Golden Horn Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Drama Series for her portrayal of Dezi in 2011’s Otelo Burning.

Nolwazi is married to Umlilo actor Mzwandile Ngubeni, and the two are blessed with two children.
They two met in 2010 through work and got married in 2016 in a traditional wedding in Durban.
