Leeto Maputla, real name Eric Macheru, is a South African actor. He became famous when he started acting on the SABC1 soap opera Skeem Saam as Leeto Maputla, the son of Meikie Maputla and John Maputla and the big brother of Thabo Maputla. Also married to Mokgadi Matloga Mogadi Matloga and he is a successful lawyer in the soap, Skeem Saam. Eric was born on February 25, 1986, in Polokwane, Limpopo.

He attended school at AFDA, The School for the Creative Economy. He is vibrant, smart, and a hard worker.

In real life, Eric is also a married man. He is married to his beautiful wife, and they have two adorable children. Before he came to Skeem Saam, he was a soccer player who played for Ajax Cape Town. He left the sport after he got an injury that could not heal, and that is what made his soccer career short. He is a positive person, and he did not let the issue of not playing get in the way of his goals.
