Get to know MacG Full Bio

Macgyver Mukwevho,MacG is a well-known South African house music producer and radio DJ. MacG hosted the Craze youth show on etv from 2000 until 2005. He subsequently left television to pursue a full-time radio career, and in 2006, he went to the Gauteng-based radio station YFM, where he aired a range of programmes ranging from the Saturday graveyard slot to the Top.

His popularity skyrocketed when he began anchoring the early morning program on weekdays and, eventually, the noon show on the same days. Since 2010, he has hosted weeknights 10pm-01am on Joburg’s number one popular music station, 947, as well as a Saturday 6-9pm dance event dubbed the 947

MacG is recognized for heating up dance floors with house and dance music at South Africa’s largest events. His popularity secured him a tour of Africa with MTV Base, performing in Angola and Mozambique.

He also performed at the after party of Nigeria’s inaugural MTV African Music Awards, wowing the party-goers. MacG has extensively traveled South Africa, sharing the DJ booth alongside foreign and local DJs like as DJ Diplo, Afrojack, David Guetta, Black Coffee, DJ Fresh, Euphonik, and Louie Vega, among others. When he’s not on the radio, in the studio, or performing at one of his numerous engagements. MacG enjoys unwinding with a game of FIFA while listening to the radio.

In 2018, MacG started his podcast show Podcast and Chill With MacG. He often interviews popular South African figures in his podcast show. He has interviewed popular South African stars like Emtee, Big Zulu, Zola 7, and Nasty C
