Elizabeth Serunye biography
Elizabeth Serunye (born 12 March 1971) is a South African actress and gospel singer best known for her roles as Mapaseka Montsho on The Queen and Principal Thobakgale on Skeem Saam SABC 1.
She has been a household name since her television debut, having been in a variety of dramas like Home Affairs, City Sesla, Death of a Queen, Rhythm City, and many others.

Early and personal Life of Serunye
Elizabeth Serunye was born on March 12, 1971, in South Africa’s Limpopo Province. She was a lead vocalist in high school, but after metric, she discovered she was destined to be an actress. It wasn’t easy for her to start a career in acting, and she spent many years looking for steady acting gigs.
She even worked at a supermarket before landing her first big break with Soul City in 2006. The star knew from childhood that she was born to entertain, but she was unlucky enough to break through at such a young age.
Career of Elizabeth
Elizabeth decided to pursue a profession in acting after completing school, but she failed to get acting roles. At the age of 23, she landed her first role in a Sesotho drama called Dinnete tsa Bophelo, written by Philip Mothupi. In the mid-2000s, she played the lead in a number of shows, including Home Affairs and others. Mrs Serunye landed a role on the comedy “Mzee Wa Two Six” in 2005, and another on Soul City in 2006.
Elizabeth Serunye had both funny and dramatic parts. In the SABC2 sitcom Moferefere Lenyalong, she played Mapaseka Montsho, the dictatorial queen of the kitchen at the ‘Cherry Blossom’ guest home. In ‘Rhythm City,’ she played Rose Nakumba, who struggled to deal with an abusive husband, Jafta Nakumba (Sandile Dlamini), and a rebellious adolescent, Mampho (Itumeleng Bokaba). She landed a serious role as Principal Thobakgale on SABC 1’s Skeem Saam.
Elizabeth’s specialty is music, particularly gospel singing; she began singing in high school choir, where she was the lead vocalist. She is currently a member of the Exaltation Gospel Choir.
