Black Coffee appoints his son, Esona as director of his two companies

Black Coffee empowers his son, Esona “Sona” Maphumulo, making him South Africa’s wealthiest young CEO.

According to City Press, the DJ’s true name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, and he has secretly named his son as the head of the Soulistic Agency and the Black Coffee Foundation.

The DJ is said to have resigned as a director of the Black Coffee Foundation and passed the baton to his son, who joined Maphumulo’s sister Nomalungelo and mother Sindiswa Dandala on the board.

Nomalungelo, Black Coffee’s sister, allegedly declined to comment on the news and forwarded all queries to her brother.

“According to a statement released earlier by Nomalungelo, the foundation has collaborated with gym operator Virgin Active SA to generate cash for underprivileged people and the Mthatha Food Bank in the Eastern Cape.”

“Tyolo’s engagement in the firm was registered in 2020, a month before he turned 21,” according to company registration records. This came after his father resigned from Soulistic Agency and turned the reins over to the aspiring musician, making him the sole director.”
